THE EASTERN REGION'S

OFFSHORE WIND CLUSTER

By 2030, FOSSIL FREE GENERATION from the East could power the equivalent of 90% OF UK HOMES, half of which will be from wind.

Joining the network is FREE and means you receive first access to networking events, regional updates and much more…

ADVOCACY IN THE EAST

Renewables now account for more than 40% of the country’s electricity – up from just 7% in 2010.

The EastWind Cluster established in 2021 will drive the implementation of the Offshore Wind Sector Deal (“OWSD”) objectives in so far as they relate to the Eastern region.

Representing and giving a single voice to operators, developers, local government, and the supply chain across the Eastern region.

As a voice for the region’s offshore wind sector the cluster raises awareness of the industry and the opportunities it presents the wider community both locally and nationally.

The Cluster presents a platform for anyone interested in the sector to join and support the industry’s growth.

EastWind advocates for the region and encourages development, working alongside existing regional capabilities, liaising with other clusters to cross-pollinate best practice and build on lessons learned.
